Yerra Solutions Furthers Global Expansion with Opening of Singapore Office and Hiring of Local Staff

Yerra Solutions AG, a global Legal and IP consultancy providing consulting, managed services and technology products to Global Fortune® 500 clients, today announced the addition of operations in APAC with new regional headquarters in Singapore. This move represents the latest in Yerra’s global expansion, with offices already established in Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The expansion into APAC was initially driven by Yerra clients with interests in the region, including UBS, but Singapore is already outpacing growth projections, a trend expected to continue in 2015. Already, there are plans to expand the staff to include a Managing Director and multiple positions for IP and eDiscovery Consultants.

“Demand for services around eDiscovery and legal operations and technology has been very strong in APAC, and the legal market in this region is underserved,” said Rajitha Boer, founder and director of Yerra Solutions AG. “Our current hiring and plans for expansion of the staff and leadership in Singapore demonstrates our commitment to the region.”

Yerra Solutions is uniquely focused on the needs of those corporations headquartered and with primary operations outside of the United States. “Many firms like ours are focused mostly on the United States,” notes Boer. “We chose to concentrate on other regions to bring the global perspective critical to success with the type of organisations we serve.”

Yerra Solutions AG, a company offering Legal and IP consultancy, managed services and products to Fortune 500 clients, today announced that the Knowledge Management (KM) Uniform Task Based Management System (UTBMS) Code Set is open for public comment. The Code Set was spearheaded by Corinna Codd from Yerra Solutions, and sponsored by Jane Bennitt, founder of Global Legal Ebilling, and the LEDES (Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard) Oversight Committee.

The KM Code Set allows law departments to track time spent on KM activities and is designed to be applicable to organisations at all levels of KM maturity. “High-performing law departments recognise the need to effectively manage their organisations’ knowledge to improve productivity, reduce risk, and elevate the quality and value of the legal support they provide,” said Rajitha Boer, founder and director of Yerra Solutions AG. “However, to date the essential tool that would help them accomplish this feat – a universally accepted task-based coding system for the tracking and billing of KM activities – has not existed. This standard will allow law departments to define and implement strategies to handle KM more effectively and we’re honored to work with the LEDES Oversight Committee establish it.”

“Since 1998, the LEDES Oversight Committee has been dedicated to establishing and maintaining universal standards for legal organisations no matter where they are located,” commented Bennitt, a former president of LEDES. “We welcome the insight and leadership of Yerra Solutions as we review and establish this important legal standard.”
